                         A DAY IN THE WORLD - 15th May 2012


For one day the world will look in on itself and take a snap picture. This is the idea of the Aday.org project. (www.Aday.org )

What if that one day includes Girl Guides in its digital ‘snapshot of life’?

Participants are being asked to upload their images at www.Aday.org and then to link each submitted image to themes such as ‘home’ and ‘work’ and then into sub sections such as ‘my people’.

We are registered under the name “Girl Guides South Africa” so join (register) and then follow the instructions and link to the team.  Select ‘Team Up’ then insert Girl Guides South Africa in the box on the right.  Click on ‘Join Now’ .

If you want to participate you must register BEFORE the 15th May and then pictures can be uploaded from 15th May until 22nd May 2012.

Photos MUST be taken on 15th May, the date and time noted, as well as the who, what, when & where are needed. The photo must be ‘tagged’.

You need to know what camera is used to take the photo!

Let us get Girl Guides onto the WORLD WIDE WEB!

This is meant for those people who are able to take goods, fun pictures, who can easily access Internet and who can upload/download photos and how to tag them.
There is a tutorial on the aday.org website that can be followed.

Let us have some fun – this is short notice, but please try & pass onto as many photographers as possible.

 Should you prefer, send your photographs (up to 3 only) with all details (including type of camera) as above to Hilary White hilarywhite@mweb.co.za BEFORE 21st May and I will upload for you.
